PARENT PORTAL We strongly encourage all parents to register and update their Parent Portal account. Through the use of the Parent Portal, parents have the ability to be notified of their child’s new teacher, update student emergency records, authorize their child’s participation in Chromebook, etc. activities, print their child’s report card, and download important documents directly from the portal. Families will access information regarding their child’s new teacher and room number on August 19, 2019 after 3 pm. If attempts are made to access this information earlier than 3pm and if refresh is continually clicked over and over, your computer may get too many cookies in the cache and it may not load the page properly at 3pm. Please wait until 3:01pm to attempt to access the portal.
To update or activate your Parent Portal, simply log onto https://sites.google.com/a/capousd.org/parent-and-student-portal/ where you will find directions for updating your Parent Portal account. If you have not created an account, please contact Janie Swade at JaSwade@capousd.org.
PAW-trol IS COMING TO OSO Come join Oso Grande’s PAW-trol!
PAW-trol is an exciting new opportunity for you to get involved at school and help keep our parking lot safe. We are looking for 3-4 parents to help in our parking lot each morning. These volunteers will be stationed throughout our parking lot from 7:40am to 8:00am to encourage a smooth flow of traffic and a safe, quick unloading of students. You can sign up for just one day or many days, and with enough parent support we look forward to a strong start and continued involvement with PAW-trol throughout the year.

- First Day Kindergarten Orientation Hours (Parent attends with Kindergarten student): 8:30-9:45 a.m.
- Grades 1st-5th: 8:00 a.m.-12:05 p.m.
The rest of the week will be our normal daily schedule:
Every Wednesday:
- Kindergarten 8:00 a.m. – 12:55 p.m.
- Grades 1st – 5th 8:00 a.m. – 1:05 p.m.
Thursday-Friday:
- Kindergarten 8:00 a.m. – 2:10 p.m.
- Grades 1st-5th 8:00 a.m. – 2:20 p.m.
Traffic will be very heavy ALL week! Please plan accordingly!
