Please start saving your plastic bottles and aluminum cans with the "CRV" (California Redemption Value) symbol. Families will be able to drop off their water bottles and aluminum cans from their cars in the pick-up lane after school. Volunteers will help collect the bags from your cars. Parents are also welcome to carry bags in and leave them near the pick-up line. We will continue having Water Bottle Wednesdays the first Wednesday of every month, so keep on collecting! Please contact Jennifer Byerly if you have any questions.

Drop off items in the box in the office. PTA receives up to $5.75 for inkjet cartridges and up to $45 for used cell phones. We also accept and recycle used laser printer cartridges.

o to www.planetgreenrecycle.com/osogrande to purchase from a list of more than 300 U.S. remanufactured printer cartridges at a savings of up to 70 percent. Orders are shipped directly to you within a day or two, and Oso receives 15 percent of the total.

This year, we will be trying out a new form of recycling...crayon recycling! We'll be collecting all of the unwanted pieces from our classes and you can send in any broken or run down crayons from home, too! No need to sort by color or take off the wrappers - just send them into school or drop them in the designated box in the office. We will send the crayon pieces to a company that melts them down to make new crayons! For more information about this program, see www.crazycrayons.com or contact Donna Augustini.
