PTA ASSOCIATION MEETING: TOMORROW – FRI, JAN. 17TH!Save the date for our next PTA Association Meeting, tomorrow, Friday, January 17th following Friday Flag at 8:30am. Come here about Emotional Intelligence with a special guest presentation by our very own counselor, Ms. Liz Sholly, who will provide an overview of the program she teaches all our scholars at Oso Grande, the benefits of Social Emotional Learning and parent tips. A Q&A will follow her presentation. We look forward to seeing you there! We are in process of slating the new PTA Executive Board for the 2020-2021 school year. In this meeting, we’ll share information on the roles and responsibilities. We have a variety of roles to fill and the only true experience needed is a passion for helping our Grizzly family. SCHOOL ASSEMBLY: THE ROAR SHOW- THURSDAY, JANUARY 30TH
Our FIRST school wide assembly will take place on Thursday, January 30th and will be featuring the R.O.A.R. Show, “Respect Others Act Responsibly”! This is an educational, enrichment school assembly program that helps with character building and positive self-esteem, and it is FUN! Designed for grades K-2 and grades 3-5, The ROAR assembly program uses storytelling, audience participation and a little bit of magic to captivate students with age appropriate lessons of inclusion, respect, responsibility, safety, bully prevention and accountability for their actions. Elementary schools back the ROAR Show and utilize its lessons and activity worksheets to help remind students of their school-wide learning behavior expectations to allow for a positive school environment. You’ll see the students sitting at the edge of their seats, attentively listening, watching and absorbing this very powerful, positive message.
