Grizzly Fun Run

Our annual Grizzly Fun Run is our biggest fundraiser of the whole school year!  The majority of our funding is raised from this particular and event–we need every Grizzly family’s help!  Our Grizzly Fun Run is held typically in October on our campus field & all family members are encouraged to come cheer on their Grizzly as they run/walk/skip/hop laps to raise money for their school.  

Approximately 2 weeks prior to our Grizzly Fun Run, our students are provided with a video link they can send to family/friends near & far to seek out donations to support Oso Grande.  All donations are done electronically through the link provided. As donations are collected for each student, they have the opportunity to earn fun prizes along the way.

We also seek local business sponsorships—if you know of a business who would like to sponsor, or if you have a business, please reach out to us.  Oso Grande would love your support!

Celebration Book Club

Celebration Book Club is a chance to celebrate your child’s birthday, half-birthday, graduation, special accomplishment, or favorite holiday by dedicating a new book to our school library!

Your student will select a new book from a wonderful collection of the newest and greatest books, and a bookplate with your child’s name will be permanently placed inside the front cover. The book will be presented to your student either in class (Kindergarten) or at the weekly flag ceremony (Grades 1-5) in the month of the celebration date you choose.

Please try to order at least one month before the special day/event.

Book Fairs

(Program TBD for 2020-21 School Year)

We host 2 Book Fairs throughout the school year which provide an opportunity for our Grizzlies, their families, & our teachers/staff to purchase books & related items here in our school library.  Each class receives a dedicated time/date to attend throughout the week. Typically the Book Fair is open Mon-Fri and is open for families to come visit–we just ask that you register yourself/family as a visitor through the school office prior to visiting.  Debit/credit card and cash are accepted. A portion of the sales come back to Oso Grande to support our school!

Restaurant Fundraisers

(Program TBD for 2020-21 School Year)

YOU’VE GOTTA EAT, RIGHT?  Dine out with Oso Grande at our monthly restaurant nights! Oso Grande PTA holds fundraising nights at favorite family eateries all around Ladera Ranch & Mission Viejo throughout the year.  A percentage of all meal purchases on these nights are donated to our PTA. Takeout orders are usually included. So, keep your kitchen clean, give your stove a break and make a date with us each month.

A heart-felt “thank you” to our local restaurants helping to support Oso Grande Elementary through this program.

 

Sponsor-A-Teacher Lunch

(Program TBD for 2020-21 School Year)

Looking for a great way to recognize our fantastic teachers and staff–buy their lunch!  On selected days throughout the year, our PTA hosts Restaurant Fundraisers. On those same days, we will cater and deliver lunch from the selected restaurants to the school for our teachers and staff to enjoy! It’s a win win! Our teachers and staff love it and we are able to get more percentage back to our school from our Restaurant Fundraisers!
